Applying to Flow Trader’s intern and graduate trader programs consists of six stages, including:

1️⃣ Application Submission

Your application journey begins with the Application Submission stage, where you’ll provide Flow Traders with your personal details, resume, and academic transcript.

Before submitting your application, read GradIQ’s free Quant Trading Resume Guide. It includes a resume template and advice designed to maximise a candidate’s chances of progressing to the online assessment stage and succeeding in behavioural interviews.
Hot Tip 🔥: Applications for Flow Trader’s trader programs are open year-round. However, if you apply too close to the program start date there is a risk that all positions will be filled before you have the opportunity to interview.
2️⃣ Online Assessment
Outline
Candidates who pass the initial resume screening will be invited to complete Flow Trader’s Online Assessment. The assessment is a mental arithmetic test comprising three sections. The pass mark is 96/120.

30 integer-based calculation questions
Scoring process: Correct (+1), Incorrect (-3), Blank (-2)
Decimal Numbers
30 decimal calculation questions
Scoring process: Correct (+2), Incorrect (-1), Blank (-1)
Multiplication of Decimal Numbers
15 decimal multiplication questions
Correct (+2), Incorrect (-2), Blank (-1)

4️⃣ Behavioural Interview
Outline
If you pass the online assessments, you’ll proceed to a behavioural interview with a Flow Trader's recruiter. The aim of this call is to better understand:
Your motivation behind applying to trading and to Flow Trader's specifically.
Your understanding of what it is that Flow Trader's does.
Your involvement with activities that are relevantly similar to trading.
A series of behavioural interview questions to assess if you’re a cultural fit.

5️⃣ Technical Interview

Following the behavioural interview, successful candidates will be invited to a technical interview.

6️⃣ Final Interview
Outline
Following successful completion of the coding interview, candidates will be invited to complete a case study exercise on ETFs with two senior traders. The case study is designed to test your trading intuition, decision-making ability and adaptability.
